Whistleblowing Policy
Our Commitment
CoverMe has a zero-tolerance approach to misconduct, unethical behaviour and legal or regulatory breaches. We want anyone with a genuine concern about how we operate to feel able to raise it, safely and without fear of retaliation.
This policy explains what can be reported, how to report it, and what happens next.
Who This Policy Is For
This policy applies to anyone with a concern about CoverMe’s business, systems or conduct, including employees, contractors, instructors, venues, suppliers and members of the public.
What You Can Report
Concerns that can be reported under this policy include, but are not limited to:
- Fraud, financial misconduct or corruption
- Breaches of law or regulation
- Modern slavery or unethical labour practices
- Data protection or information security breaches
- Abuse of position or conflicts of interest
- Any other behaviour that may cause harm to CoverMe, its users, or the wider public
How to Report a Concern
If you have a concern that falls within the scope of this policy, please contact us at:
Email: infosec@covermeapp.co
Where possible, please include as much detail as you can – what the concern is, when and how it arose, and any supporting information – to help us assess and respond appropriately. You do not have to identify yourself to raise a concern, though providing contact details may help us investigate more effectively or update you on the outcome.
Confidentiality and Protection
We will take reasonable steps to keep the identity of anyone reporting a concern confidential, and to protect them from retaliation or adverse treatment as a result of reporting in good faith. Any retaliation against someone who raises a concern in good faith is treated as a serious matter.
What Happens Next
All concerns are reviewed and, where appropriate, investigated. This may include assessing the credibility and severity of the concern, preserving relevant records and evidence, escalating to senior management where required, and taking appropriate corrective, disciplinary, contractual or legal action. Investigations are handled confidentially and by authorised personnel.
Where a concern relates to personal data, it will also be handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
Related Policies
This policy operates alongside our Modern Slavery Policy, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and Privacy Policy.
Review
This policy is reviewed annually, or sooner following a significant report, or a change in legal, regulatory or business requirements.
